Description

The Large Marble (Euchloe ausonides) is a medium-sized butterfly with white wings adorned with green marbled patterns on the undersides and black markings on the forewings, commonly found in open grasslands, meadows, and sagebrush areas across western North America. The photos above are from Colorado.

Range

Very uncommon in the northern counties along the Canadian border.

Olympia Marble but the two species don’t overlap in range
