Description

The Henry’s Elfin (Callophrys henrici) is a small butterfly with brownish wings, a faint postmedian band, and subtle iridescence on the upper side, often found in forests, edges, and scrubby habitats across eastern North America, where its caterpillars feed on a variety of host plants such as redbud and holly in the east. In Minnesota, it may feed on viburnums, but this species hasn’t been researched enough in the state.
