Description
The Delaware Skipper (Anatrytone logan) is a small butterfly with bright orange wings bordered by black, featuring dark brown veins and a wingspan ranging from 2.5 to 4.3 centimeters. It inhabits moist environments such as marshes and residential landscapes across the southern Canadian Prairies, southern Ontario, and throughout the midwestern and eastern United States.
Range
It is found throughout the state except the northeastern fourth.
Similar Species
Arogos skipper is similar but has a grayish white fringe on the wings, a wider dark border above, and white veining on the hindwing below.
