Description
The Common Ringlet (Coenonympha california) is a small butterfly with pale orange-brown wings, sometimes bordered by faint darker edges, and occasional small eyespots, commonly found in grassy fields, meadows, and open areas across North America.

It is found throughout the state, except the southwestern 1/4
