Description

The Common Checkered-Skipper (Burnsius communis) is a small butterfly with black-and-white checkered patterns on its wings, a pale blue sheen on the body and base of the wings, and is commonly found in open areas, fields, and roadsides across North and Central America.

Range

Migrant from the south and generally found in the southern two-thirds of the state.
