Description

The Cobweb Skipper (Hesperia metea) is a small butterfly with brown wings marked by pale spots and a cobweb-like pattern on the hindwings, commonly found in dry, sandy habitats such as pine barrens and open woodlands across the eastern United States.

Range

Very uncommon, and no recent sightings. Minnesota is at the western edge of the range but may be found along the St, Croix River.
