NABA-Twin Cities is kicking off the 2021 butterfly season with our first virtual Annual Meeting from 9:30am-11am on Saturday, March 27. The annual meeting is open to the public and will feature updates from the chapter, plans for 2021, election of chapter officers, and featured presentations on butterfly conservation in Minnesota. The agenda for the Annual Meeting:

9:30am
Introductions: Chapter President Andy Birkey will give an overview of the chapter and what is in store for 2021.

9:45am
Presentations: We are excited to have experts on Minnesota’s butterflies and conservation joining us to share their knowledge via several virtual presentations. Anna Hess, PhD, serves as Eastern District Manager for the Division of Ecological and Water Resources at Minnesota DNR. Anna will talk about butterfly conservation and reintroduction efforts. Kiley Friedrich, Agriculture Program Coordinator at Monarch Joint Venture, will talk about the work of MJV and Midwest efforts to conserve Monarchs.

Chapter Elections: The chapter will also elect officers. We are voting for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Chapter officers are limited to NABA members only. Voting for chapter officers is limited to NABA members only. It’s easy to become a NABA member! Memberships start at just $35 a year. You can become a member of NABA here.
